How to Create an NFT

Individuals, companies, and businesses of all types can create - or mint - NFTs.

Minting an NFT example.

Ahh, smells good, doesn’t it?

You don’t need technical or coding experience to mint an NFT, so don’t worry! What you need is a piece of data that you want to turn into an NFT, i.e. put on a particular blockchain.

A “piece of data” could look like digital artwork, a video, or any other file.

You simply upload a file from your device through your digital wallet onto the marketplace. Because you’re connected to the blockchain through your browser extension, the smart contract on the backend of the platform does all the heavy lifting for you :)

Many marketplaces make it easy to mint NFTs on their website, which you can then put up for sale or keep in your digital wallet. The process has been significantly simplified over the years! In the past, you had to write the code yourself in order to mint an NFT. For artists, the feasibility of minting NFTs on any blockchain is empowering them to generate value around their work.
